While “indefinite hiatus” doesn’t necessarily mean the series is gone forever, it does mean that there isn’t a current date set the bring it back on the air, which is usually bad news for a show. However, Toei has confirmed that the 20th Dragon Ball movie will be of this year. The working title seems to just be, “The Dragon Ball Super movie,” at this time, and details are light on what the subject of the film will be about. Series creator, Akira Toriyama has shed some light on how the movie will fit into the series and a basic idea of what the plot may revolve around. The Dragon Ball Super movie this time around will be the next story that takes place after the anime that’s currently on TV. The content will shed a little light on previously unexplored topics having to do with Frieza and the Saiyans, and I think it will be a very enjoyable story that serves up a long-awaited formidable opponent! I wouldn’t be surprised if this movie is a semi-sequel to the last one, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’.
